Some wore a military uniform and served our nation around the world. Others wear a police badge, a firefighter’s helmet, an EMS uniform, or quietly volunteer their time helping neighbors in need. While their paths may be different, they all share one thing in common – a willingness to put others before themselves.
That belief is why Welcome Home Heroes exists.
More Than a Welcome Home
For many veterans, coming home marks the end of military service, but it does not mark the end of their story.
The same is true for first responders, volunteers, and community servants. Their dedication doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. Their service continues every day through mentorship, volunteer work, community leadership, and simply being there for others.
Welcome Home Heroes was created to recognize that lifelong commitment.

When neighbors gather to honor those who serve, barriers disappear. Veterans meet young families. First responders meet community members. Children learn firsthand what service, sacrifice, and patriotism truly look like.

Celebrating All Local Heroes
This September, we’re proud to host Celebrating All Local Heroes, a free community event recognizing the people who continue making a difference every day.
We are especially honored to recognize Frank S. Wright, one of America’s remaining Iwo Jima veterans, as our Main Guest of Honor. His extraordinary life of service represents the spirit that Welcome Home Heroes strives to celebrate.
Whether you served in uniform, support someone who has, volunteer in your community, or simply want to say “thank you,” we invite you to join us.
